HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE MASSAGE

Tips to maximize your experience

- Hydrate and eat lightly on the day of your appointment.

- Wear comfortable, loose clothing to your appointment. You will need to undress for your massage but I will always provide draping for privacy and comfort. If you choose to use underwear, opt for thong style which allows to maintain seamless flow of the treatment (note the underwear will get oily).

- Set your intention. Take a moment prior to your session to reflect on what you hope to release or achieve. Whether it’s physical tension, emotional blocks or seeking spiritual clarity, having a clear intention guides the healing energy.

- Approach your session with open heart and mind. This allows for deeper healing and spiritual insights.

- Trust your journey. Let go of specific expectations, trust your practitioner and your body’s inherent wisdom. This can lead to profound discoveries and healing.

- Please arrive on time, ideally 5-10 minutes earlier.

What TO DO AND NOT TO DO DURING THE MASSAGE

- Focus on deep breathing to facilitate  relaxation and release of tension, allowing your mind to surrender to the flowing, full body strokes and gentle movements.

- Embrace the experience, don’t be surprised if your body is worked on in different areas simultaneously, which helps your mind to let go.

- Be open to emotional release. You might experience strong emotions like grief or anger. Let your body release what no longer serves it.

- Do not attempt to touch or grope your therapist. It is critical to respect your practitioner’s personal space and professional role. Inappropriate behavior and touching violate these boundaries and therapeutic relationship.

- Do not remove your sarong. Clients are always covered during the massage for modesty. Removing or asking to remove this covering is inappropriate and disrupts the safe and professional environment.

- Do not arrive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. It will significantly impair your ability to be fully present and benefit from the experience.

- Do not expect or request sexual services. Kahuna and Lomi Lomi are strictly therapeutic and non sexual in nature. Any insinuations or requests for sexual services will lead to immediate termination of the session and will be fully charged.

- Please do not wear strong perfumes or deodorants.

What TO DO after THE MASSAGE

- Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to help flush out any metabolic waste and toxins released from your muscles and to prevent headaches.

- Rest: Your body has undergone significant work and needs time to recover and repair. Prioritize relaxation and avoid strenuous activity or work.

- Gentle Movement: Engage in light activities like a gentle walk or stretching to promote circulation and release tension, but avoid intense workouts.

- Take a Warm Bath: A warm bath with salts can help soothe your muscles and enhance relaxation.

- Journal: Write down any thoughts, feelings, or insights that came to you during the massage to gain a deeper understanding of your experience.
